Alfredo Casero - Shima Uta

Alfredo Casero (born 1963 in Vicente López, Buenos Aires Province) is a famous Argentine musician, actor and comedian. He started working in the underground humour scene of Buenos Aires.
He became quite famous outside of his country in 2002 when he recorded a Japanese song, Shima Uta, entirely in Japanese. It was the first single from his album, Casaerius. The song became a huge hit in Argentina, where it was chosen as the anthem for the national football team to represent the country at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, in South Korea and Japan.

Kan vi pratar om estetiska?

Shima Uta är en riktigt vacker melodi, texten handlar om Okinawa, öarna allra längs i sydligaste Japan.

Här kommer sången som var översatt från japanska till engelska:

The deigo flowers on the tip in preparation for the winds storms of the north.

Deigo flowers bloom in profusion in preparation for the winds storms of the north.
Repeating sorrows of a way to cross over the island waves.

The forest of Uji, where i first met you
Under Uji the good-bye of a thousand years

island song, ridding on the wind
with a bird for a companion, crossing over the sea
island song, ridding on the wind
sending my belated tear

The deigo flower is also dust
only ripples on the waves
as for modest happiness,
it is a poetry conest of a flower on the waves

At the Forest of Uji, a song companion
Under Uji, an eternity of parting

island song, ridding on the wind
with a bird for a companion, crossing over the sea
island song, ridding on the wind
sending my belated tear

The Sea, The Universe, The Gods, Life
this is as an eternity of evening lull

island song, ridding on the wind
with a bird for a companion, crossing over the sea
island song, ridding on the wind
sending my belated tear
island song, ridding on the wind
with a bird for a companion, crossing over the sea
island song, ridding on the wind
sending my belated tear
